What is your biggest fear from childhood? For me, it was those beautiful, exquisit ball joint dolls. They are so life-like in a creepy way, and I couldn’t help thinking: what if there WERE alive? What if they disguise themselves and mix-in human life, take over what was ours and deceive us in the most uncanny way……

Coding project with classmate Jen:
“Breathe”
By using python code, we created a set of objects and movement that can be controlled by math equations. In this demo, our concept on movement is “breathing”. Still frame here:

Claire’s new lighting & Rendering project — Sunny Daydream
Sunny Daydream is an animation project I recently finished, using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe AfterEffects and Maya. In this animation I created an “Asian herbal shop” environment, with the sunny lighting indicates a lazy afternoon. The swinging medicine bags make us almost feel the warm breeze, the open drawers indicates someone might just took out some herbs. However, there’s no one in the shop. So is it a real place? Or is it just a beautiful daydream?
